Sunday Bonus.

15 Apr

The amount of time I spend watching advertisements is unseemly. Peugot just released their second video as a part of a recent viral campaign. This is viral advertising done right. This sort of thing doesn’t always result in more sales, but hell does it get your name seen by a lot of people, as this surely will. I first saw the dancer in his routine for a remix of Pumped Up Kicks and must have hit the repeat button five times. If you recognize Nonstop, you already know you’re in for a treat.

The song is from a UK collective effort called Rudimental. I guess the group is made up of two songwriters and  a pair of DJ’s. With a soulful vocalist thrown into the mix, the result is amazing. I haven’t really had a chance to have a good listen to the rest of their work, but if you’re curious, you can find their SoundCloud page here. The track is set to be released May 28th, so you’ve still got time to ‘discover’ these guys before they’re popular, you music hipster, you.

Say hello to the next summer anthem,

Grant.

Rudimental – Feel The Love ft. John Newman [Unreleased]

Song for a sunset.

23 Jun

I wish that sunsets lasted longer. My favorite time of day is at that moment when the sun is halfway to bed, and the sky turns a pinkish hue. I love being on the road at that exact moment in time. Last night I had nothing to do so I spent some quality time with my car and a windy ribbon of tarmac following the ocean. Of course some music was needed for this occasion.

Bedouin Soundclash’s lead singer and guitarist, Jay Malinowski, has an incredibly unique voice. Some love it, some hate it. I personally find it soothing and it adds another personality to the music he writes. Last year, he released a solo record which many had missed. I’m not sure why, since the entire album is amazing from beginning to end. I highly reccommend buying it if you have the chance. I promise it will come in handy when you’re looking for a soundtrack for your own sunset.

Learn to love the little things,

Grant.
